Filipinos are music lovers. There is no doubt about it. From our ancestors down to our generation, no music ever seem to pass. It is very evident that no matter what genre of music a song belonged to, we would always give time to listen to it if not appreciate it. And when it comes to our favorite artists, we often don't really care how much we'd spend just to see them perform live .

Lately, several international artists have conquered the concert scene here in the Philippines. Most of the time, they become triumphant in their quests. Our passion for music gives them the idea that we, Filipinos are a good market for concert tours. And guess what, they are actually right.

Everyday as i travel to and from school, i pass by Araneta Center which is more popularly known as " The Big Dome." Since then, I have noticed that every once in a while, posters and advertisements show different International Artists on schedule for concert tour at the so called Big Dome.

This structure has a seating capacity of over 15, 000- 20, 000 people in full house. It's been host for a lot of live performances of various singers, bands, and even ice skate shows. For the past months, International Artists such as Akon, Fall Out Boy, The Click Five, New Found Glory, Simple Plan, Lifehouse, Maroon5, Incubus and many more had strut their stuffs on stage successfully. And this coming September, Pop Rock Princess Avril Lavigne will once again perform live at the Big Dome for her B
est Damn Thing Concert Tour.

Aside from the Araneta Center, Eastwood City Libis and Fort Bonifacio Open Field had also been silent witnesses to successful concerts done by International Artists. One unforgettable performance was by Beyonce Knowles which soared to the top when she filled all seats at the Fort Bonifacio Open Field as tickets were sold out.

Other famous artist such as Christina Aguilera, Mandy Moore, Daughtry Band, and many more had successfully conquested their own concerts. At an interview conducted by Q11 for their SaPulso and The Ricky Lo Exclusives shows, the Daughtry band said that they were very happy in their concert here because Filipinos were very appreciative. One of the band memebers even said, "We love it here, they treated us like kings!," with a wide smile on his face.

Undeniably, though life lately had been hard on us in terms of economic progress, Filipinos really know how to maintain a balanced and happy life. We can still spend time watching concerts and whip out cash for some hours of music enjoyment to unwind, and a once in a lifetime chance to meet our favorite artists face to face.

Most critics explained that International Artists don't just come here to make money, more often, it is our warm welcome and fine treatment that they truly loved and hoped more of. They can't find Supreme Concert passion anywhere else in the world but here.Filipino hospitality still reigns worldwide.
